How EDAERO Works
For Professionals.
From building your profile to getting paid on a completed mission — here is exactly how the process works for pilots, cabin professionals, and aircraft engineers on EDAERO.
One process.
Three professional categories.
EDAERO supports pilots, cabin professionals, and aircraft engineers — and other aviation professionals the Platform supports where applicable — through the same core profile-to-payment journey, with role-specific requirements at each step.
Aircraft Engineers
Freelance licensed maintenance engineers.
Freelance Aircraft Engineer Jobs →From profile
to payment.
Twelve steps, the same core structure for every role on the Platform:
-
01Create Professional ProfileSet up your EDAERO profile — pilot, cabin professional, or aircraft engineer — with your core identity and role information.
-
02Add Experience & DocumentationAdd aircraft type experience, licences/ratings/categories as applicable, and supporting documentation for your role.
-
03Documentation / Credential ReviewYour submitted documentation is reviewed before your profile becomes visible to operators in matching results.
-
04Set AvailabilityKeep your availability current — accurate availability is one of the strongest factors in how often you're matched.
-
05Receive Relevant Mission OpportunitiesWhen a mission's requirements fit your profile, it may be offered to you. Not every profile receives the same volume of opportunities — it depends on fit.
-
06Review Mission RequirementsEach mission comes with clear requirements — aircraft type, dates, location, and role — for you to review before deciding.
-
07Accept or DeclineYou choose whether to accept or decline each mission offered to you. Nothing is assigned automatically without your confirmation.
-
08Mission ConfirmationOnce you accept, the mission is confirmed with the operator and the applicable mission terms are set.
-
09Complete MissionYou carry out the mission according to the confirmed terms and requirements.
-
10Mission Close-OutThe mission is marked complete in Mission Control, with any relevant close-out documentation recorded.
-
11Payment / Payout WorkflowFunds secured through EDAERO's Secure Mission™ flow are released according to the applicable mission terms after close-out. Full payment and timing detail is provided during onboarding.
-
12Reliability / Performance RecordCompleted missions build a performance history on your profile over time, visible to operators evaluating fit for future missions.
Not every profile
receives the same missions.
Creating a profile does not automatically generate missions, work, or income. Whether — and how often — you're matched to a mission depends on how well your profile fits what a specific mission actually requires.
What EDAERO Looks At
- Qualifications, licences, and ratings/categories
- Aircraft experience relevant to the mission
- Location and travel readiness
- Current availability
- Documentation on file
What Operators Require
- Aircraft type and configuration
- Dates, location, and role needed
- Operator-specific requirements
- Other mission-specific criteria
Engagement terms
depend on the applicable law.
Whether a specific engagement is structured as independent contracting, another commercial arrangement, or otherwise, depends on the applicable law and the actual terms of that engagement — and can vary by jurisdiction and by mission. EDAERO does not determine employment or worker classification on a Professional's behalf. Applicable engagement terms are set out in the agreements provided during onboarding and at mission acceptance.
Secure Mission™
payment flow.
Once a mission is accepted, the required funds are secured through EDAERO's Secure Mission™ payment flow before the mission is executed, and released to the Professional according to the applicable mission terms after close-out. Specific payout timing, and any cancellation or refund terms, are set out in EDAERO's approved payment terms and policies provided during onboarding — not restated or simplified here.
